I'm Greg Young and I live in the suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. I am an ordained United Church of Christ pastor and have been carving wood for about 8 years. I took up woodcarving because I've always enjoyed working with wood, and I have found the art of woodcarving to be therapeutic, a very nice counter point to working with people.  I am self-taught, and never in my wildest dreams did I think that this wonderful pastime would blossom and flourish in the way that it has. I indeed feel blessed and thankful! When I'm not carving, teaching, writing, or designing new ideas, I enjoy being in the outdoors, especially at our family cottage in Michigan's beautiful upper penninsula. I enjoy kayaking, canoeing, flyfishing hiking, and on rainy days, reading a good book. |
